Saving Ronel, Fighting Glioblastoma

The story that leads me to launch this campaign is a personal matter that my family is dealing with. I chose to share it because we are in need of immediate assistance. I'll try to make it short.
About a year and a half ago, after a seizure, my niece, Ronel (then 14 years old), was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, the most aggressive brain tumor of its kind.
Since then, Ronel has undergone a long series of treatments, including chemotherapy and biological drug therapy at the Safra Children's Hospital in Sheba Medical Center, Tel Aviv, Israel. Fortunately, for a period of time, the treatments showed improvement in her condition as the tumor grew smaller. However, the last two tests from November showed worsening and spreading of the tumor. The doctors told us that the current treatment is no longer effective.
After a round of consultations and tests, Ronel was found to be an appropriate candidate for an experimental treatment in the United States. The initial amount to start the treatment process is estimated at $100,000 (an amount that does not include the continued presence of the family in the US for a period of one year after infusion of the virus for close monitoring by the doctors).
Today, Ronel is 15 and a half, and every day is crucial for saving her. Therefore, we, the family and friends, started a round of fundraising through several channels, all in order to urgently commence the treatment.
I am Ronel’s cousin, raising the money for my cousin, from New York City.
The money that is raised will be transferred to me, Jonathan Morav, Ronel’s cousin and then directly deposited to a special account that was opened via a Chabad branch in New York. From there the money will then be transferred to an Israeli account of an NPO, Rachashei Lev, that is accompanying us through the process. The NPO deals with the payment to the hospital.
