Saving O’Malley

O'Malley is our gorgeous 6 month old kitten. We have watched him grow and flourish until last week - after having tests at the vet he was found to be dying from Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) , his tummy fills with fluid caused by his white blood cells leaking into his abdomen. Without treatment O'Malley will have no chance of life. The treatment is expensive and is not covered by UK insurance plans. It involves 84 days of daily injections Followed by 84 days observations . Each vial costs £70 and he currently needs 2 vials a week for the next 12 weeks along with needles , syringes . probiotic & vitamin supplements as well as regular blood tests and check ups. We love him so much, and he is so young, if there is any amount that you could donate to help with his treatment costs we would be forever grateful.

Update - O’Malley had been doing really well on the medication but unfortunately developed a skin sensitivity and needed a course of antibiotics and I have had to switch him to the tablet version of Gs , which are much more expensive than the vials - his tablets are costing £36 per day, £252 a week.

 He has almost completed the first 28 days and will be due his first blood test to check progress. He should then have another 8 weeks to go. Thanks so much to everyone who’s helped so far
