Myles Road to Recovery Fund

***UPDATE***  As of January 12, 2018, Myles has finally gotten out of rehab.    He still has a little way to go to build up his  physical stamina but, as you can tell from the picture, he is feeling much better.  It is hard to believe that the infectious doctor told us that Myles was literally hours away from dying in late November.  We are still looking for donations to help Myles with all of his current bills and his upcoming medical bills.  Anything that you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated.  We want to thank everyone for your continued prayers.   All of the prayers and love helped Myles stay positive during his recovery.

We are asking for financial support of our son,  Myles Pegues, who lives in Phoenix.   Friday after Thanksgiving he had a sore throat and flu like symptoms to the extent that his muscles began to hurt on Saturday.  Thinking he was coming down with the flu he stayed in bed all weekend.   On Monday night, November 27, when the pain became unbearable he drove himself to a nearby Urgent Care Center.   The P A who examined him determined that he needed to go to the hospital and sent him in an ambulance to Banner Thunderbird Medical Center where he was immediately admitted.  His kidneys and other organs were failing.  His body was swollen and he was covered with a rash.  He was ultimately diagnosed with Strep A. the flu, RHABDO and Toxic Shock Syndrome.  He was put into the ICU for several days.  He was later moved to immediate care and was hospitalized until Sunday, December 17, 2017, when he was transferred to a rehab center.  During his stay at the hospital, he underwent 4 surgeries on his legs and arms to remove the toxins and infection.  It is anticipated that his stay at rehab will help him to heal and regain his strength to walk.  He is not expected to return to work anytime soon.  Therefore, we are asking for donations of $7000 to help cover his basic living expenses and any medical not covered by his insurance during his time of recovery.
