Saving lives for Philip Millar

As you know my big son Philip passed away In March 2017 at the tender age of 26, leaving behind a family who are heartbroken. Since then we have raised nearly £20,000 to assist two support workers to directly help people who need it most.
Over the past 2 years the Phillip Millar Legacy Trust has funded Addiction NI to develop a service aimed at directly helping people with addiction and mental health problems. The social support service is staffed by 2 people with lived experience and provides advocacy, crisis de-escalation, housing support, mentoring, group work and motivation to access therapeutic treatment as and when required. The service users represent some of the most vulnerable people in our communities and focuses on motivating people to engage in treatment whilst reducing the isolation and stigma that many experience. The main focus of the service is reducing harm and supporting recovery for individuals and their families.
My sister Mandy is embarking on a fund raiser in aid of The Philip Millar Trust / Addiction NI - these are her words below:
On the 3rd March 2017 my nephew Philip died of heart failure the consequence of drug addiction. Philip was 26 years of age. He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. Losing Philip has been devastating for the whole family. Philip had so much to give but Drugs destroy precious lives, there are too many other families struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. on the 26th May 2019myself, my son Andrew, son in law Philip, 7 members of Donaldson Legal Consulting LLP and Andrew Currie from Hunter Savage are abseiling the Europa , we are hoping to raise enough money to help someone like my nephew Philip. To watch your child go before you is devastating for any parent. The Millar family would really appreciate your support.
