Saving lives and feeding the hungry
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Greetings from Ukraine!
My name is Anton Tyshchenko and I am a Bishop of New Generation churches in Kharkiv region, Ukraine.
It’s no secret that the past two years have been really difficult for the whole world. The global pandemic has destroyed many plans and goals of people, and the economy crisis has touched almost every country in the world. Even the richest countries were shaken, not to say about poor ones, that stayed without any chance to survive.
As for our country, in addition to all of the pandemic problems we still have a war going on in the east of Ukraine. People still die there because of the arms. Thousands of refugees are spread all over the country and left without job and money for life. Retirement age people don’t have enough support from the government and they live below the poverty line. And I can go on and on about the difficulties people are failing here.
The Bible says: “You are the light of the world”, and New Generation churches are trying to do their best to bring light where there is darkness . Only our local church provides at least 300 old people with food on the weekly basis. We also support large families and people with disabilities. Our team tries to visit as many poor social groups and meet their needs as possible.
On June 20th, 2021 we are going to have a big Evangelical event called “The Healing Prayer”. It will be held on the main stadium of our city. We expect over 25 thousand people to gather together to praise God and pray for our country, healing of the sick and deliverance of the tormented by evil spirits. We strongly believe God can do a miracle! The lord has promised: “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do”. We believe thousands of people will be healed and set free that day. We also expect to see 10 thousand people got saved and want to spread 10.000 food packages among them. Of course, no financial help or food can meet spiritual needs of people. That’s why our top priority is to reach as many as we can with the Gospel and bring them to Jesus.
But, we can’t do much alone, our financial resources are limited. The cost of one package is 5 dollar. And I’m asking you to join us in this mission. For every 5 dollars what you can give 1 soul will be saved and gained for the Kingdom of God. I am calling you to take participation in preaching the Gospel in Ukraine.
Together we can do great things for God!
