Saving Edith Ahunamba from Colon Cancer

After working so hard in 2021, my friend Edith went on vacation to Cancun this year. She shared photos of playing in the pool and dancing on the beach. We loved every one of them!

 

Upon her return to NY, it was business as usual except this time, she started experiencing pain. It got so bad, that she had to go to the emergency room. After several tests, we received the devastating news that Edith had colon cancer and it was Stage 4. To make matters worse, it had metastasized to her liver.

 

We couldn’t believe Edith was going through this! She had already lost her first child to Leukemia a few years ago. Edith was traumatized by the death of her daughter and became a shell of herself.  But she recovered and pushed herself to live for her husband and her remaining children, a son, and a daughter. Eventually, Edith’s melodious sound of laughter returned. 

 

Unfortunately, life has once again played a cruel trick on Edith with this diagnosis. Although her body is wracked with pain, she is maintaining her joy and fighting to live.
