Saving C-FTAV - Fokker F-28-1000 s/n11106

Donation protected
The surviving Fokker F-28-1000 fleet in North America, is coming to an end.

The Time Air Historical Society (TAHS) needs your help in keeping this historical aircraft alive. We have a limited window of until January 31st, to secure the aircraft.

The Time Air Historical Society is currently a Not for Profit, listed with the Alberta Government #5021273569.  As a Not for Profit, we have to list this as a private campaign. All monies collected will go directly to TAHS.

This is the last chance to save a full airframe, before the former Canadi>n Regional/Time Air  fleet is scrapped. This particular aircraft (C-FTAV, s/n 11106) was the Silver Anniversary F-28 for Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada-based Time Air. It wore a polished aluminum fuselage, with Canadi>n Airlines Tail paint.

After the 25th anniversary, the aircraft then wore full Canadi>n Regional colours, before being painted into hybrid "Cad.Reg."/Air Canada colours. The aircraft was retired in 2002/2003.

Canadi>n Regional operated the largest fleet of the F-28-1000, in the world. All aircraft in the fleet were second or third hand.

This aircraft previously and loyally served with both Garuda Indonesia (PK-GVW), and Piedmont/US Air (N273N/N453US), before coming to Canada.

If rescued, this aircraft would be only one of two in airline colours, to be displayed in a(n eventual) museum setting in the entire world. It would also be the only commercial F-28 displayed in all of the America's (North/Central/South).

There are no F-28-1000's on display in its country of origin, the Netherlands ("Holland").

Proceeds from this PHASE ONE campaign will ONLY pay for the aircraft, possible additional required parts (less engines), and travel to Saskatoon for inventory and recovery of smaller parts.

Upon completion of this successful campaign, we will immediately be opening a second much larger PHASE TWO campaign, to have the aircraft disassembled, and moved from Saskatchewan to Alberta. This is a 600 KM + distance.

Depending on donations gained, the aircraft will be placed in storage, or reassembled as a working restoration display in Lethbridge.

If either campaign is unsuccessful, the aircraft will be scrapped. Any additional funds raised in PHASE ONE will be added to the PHASE TWO campaign.

Please help keep the memory of the Fokker Aircraft Company, and the original F-28-1000, alive.  C-FTAV represents the last of its type.

Without everyone's generous support, another important chapter in Airline History will be lost.
