Saving Boomers life

Donation protected
On Tuesday October 3rd, I came home from work at one job at 2pm and found my 6 year old dog Boomer ( a Nova Scotia duct tolling retriever and American Eskimo mix) laying on my bedroom floor beside a huge puddle of vomit. We took him to our regular veterinarian clinic in Oshawa. He was hooked up to an IV that was filling him with fluids, electrolytes , antibiotics and anti nausea meds. Tests were done and on Friday October 6th, we found out he tested positive for Leptospirosis. This is a bacteria that attacks the kidneys and liver of dogs. It can be caught from a wildlife animal such as a skunk or raccoon or fox etc that is a carrier/host with the disease but the host animal doesn’t get sick or die. When the host animal urinated outside on branches, grass etc or stagnant water, if a dog licks or even sniffs the diseased urine, the Leptospirosis disease enters the dogs blood stream. Needless to say, I had my pooch transferred to the emergency Whitby animal hospital for the long weekend. Minor improvements occurred in his kidney cell count. Yesterday morning I transferred him to the Toronto Animal Hospital in Scarborough. He will remain there until this Saturday while he is being looked after by a specialist Dr. Michael Either. The doctor is currently treating 5 other dogs at the hospital with Leptospirosis. There is an 80% chance my dog will survive. They are very hopeful. He may need a feeding tube though. He is able to drink water on his own and urinate as normal but still will not eat. Once he comes home, he will need after care and he will have to be on medication and a special diet for life. I love this dog . He is my world. I will do whatever it takes humanly possible to save him!!! I can’t imagine a day without him. Since this began I have spent $9500 on my credit cards to pay for his treatment and recovery. I was fortunate to receive $2500 from my parents and other family members. My credit cards are almost maxed out and there are still more costs. Please help me save my little boy Boomer. If 200 people gave $10 , that would be $2000 in help which would be so generous
