Saving Ability Bow

My name is Michael Berry.
This story starts in February 2013, I went to sleep on the 8th thinking I had a cold coming on but how wrong was I.
I was found lying unconsious on my bathroom floor by my wife Sam having collapsed the night before, I was rushed to the royal london hospital with suspected menningacochal enchephalitis, I then spent a further 5 weeks in intensive care and then a few weeks on a ward and was then moved to Mile End Hospital where I was to have rehab as I had lost the ability to walk and stand due to the muscle waste that had occurred.
I was then sent home in april where my long road to recovery happened, I was barely out of hospital when my mum tragically passed away which added to the already time I had adjusting to normal life again.
I saw many physio's, carers and other health professionals in the coming months but it was when i saw a physio that suggested that I be referred to an organisation called "Ability Bow" that my life changed for the better. The service they provide is fantastic as they primaraly deal with people who have disabilities, after the first few sessions I had I could already see the change in me, I had been lathargic and found it hard to find a way through the day.
The money i'm raising will help to keep the service running as government funding has been cut drastically , this will allow others who are in the same position as me to get the help and support they need during their difficult time so im looking to raise this money asap
Anything I raise for the cause is a bonus as "Ability Bow" has given me real purpose in life, so much so that I now voluteer for them in an admin capacity.
