Saving 3 Special Souls

I am networking to save 3 very special horses from the horrible fate of slaughter.

I was drawn to them, as I witnessed behavior from these 3, that I have not seen before, and was moved.

I was looking online at a mare and foal listed for adoption in a Kill Pen in Colorado.  Many kills pens do this.  If the horses listed are not saved, and bailed out, they are sent to slaughter.  It is a horrific inhumane death.

It was clear to me, by looking at the mare, that she has sacrificed herself totally for her baby.  She is in very poor physical shape, with a big pot belly.  I actually questioned if she was the foal's mama - she looks like she could be heavy in foal.  I mean - seriously - look at that belly. What a special selfless mare.  

Then I witnessed something else that was amazing.  

Next to them (in almost every photo) & again in the video is this big paint gelding, literally taking care of them - IN a Kill Pen.  And trust me....they know where they are.  What an amazing guy!

Please take a look at the video of the group on my Facebook page.  Watching them just blew my mind, and I knew that I could not, in good faith, allow them to be slaughtered.  

So - here we are.  I am committed to saving these 3 Sweet Souls.

Today, I got to networking to see what kind of future I might be able to secure for these guys, once they are saved.

Wouldn't you know it - we were blessed by a very generous Horse Rescue in Colorado (through one of the ladies who helps the horses at the kill pen) who has offered take on our trio once their "bail" is paid.  Are you kidding me !!! Hooray.  Angels have stepped in to help. 

Now these 3 horses will be assured a great future - once we get them outta there.

This is meant to be.

We need a total of $1,860.00 to save them.

Can you please help?  Every single dollar counts.  These guys deserve a wonderful future.
