Help Save the Vaquita Porpoise

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Mari Hoffman and I'm 16 at Torrey Pines High School. I am working to save the Vaquita Porpoise and I really need your help! The Vaquita Porpoise is the most endangered marine mammal in the world. There are only around 50-70 left due to gill net fishing in their habitat. We are at a critical time for this beautiful species. Scientist estimate that unless we act quickly, the Vaquita will have the same fate as the Chinese Yangtze River dolphin who has now become extinct. We need support for this cause to help fund a press mission by sending a vessel to the Gulf of California (their habitat) to report on the current Vaquita status and illegal gill net fishing.  The importance of the vessel is to film videos and take pictures of the Vaquita for 60 Minutues to do a story to bring international awareness.  We need to act quickly! If there are not enough funds raised to support this vessel, the mission may not be complete. But not once cent goes to waste! The funds would go towards publicizing the Vaquita's plight.   The time is now! Scientists estimate that the Vaquita could become extinct as early as 2016-2017. The Vaquita thanks you for your support!
