Fix The Jetty Ramp

Donation protected
*UPDATE*

Thank you everyone who has donated to this project. With all of the current support we can almost fully restore the ramp!

We now have the original build team on board and are well underway with organizing how we plan to fix the ramp. Our goal is to resurface the ramp and replace any rotting wood.

Now that we have a detailed list of all the materials needed, we have reset the fundraising goal to $6,000.
Our biggest expense is the skatelite.
We need 25 sheets which cost $200 per piece. Thats $5,000 total not including the plywood beneath and the screws to hold it all together.
All of the labor and most of the replacement wood is being donated.

Once we have done all the work on the ramp we plan on having a "Thank You BBQ" for everyone who has contributed. We do not have a set date yet as we are still in the fundraising stage but as it stands right now we are shooting for mid June.

We need to order these materials as soon as possible to have the ramp ready for the summer. That being said we are ending the gofundme campaign on Memorial Day May 29th.

Please share this with everyone as we now have less than two weeks to reach our goal!

Thank you so much for your support!

---------------------

Whether you have skated it, stood on it to see the waves, photographed it for your insta, or simply driven by it at sunset, we all know the Jetty Mini Ramp . It's grown to become an iconic symbol of our coastside community.

With the weather warming up and summer just around the corner, we all can't wait to get some great skate sessions together at the jetty but unfortunately this winter has really taken a toll on our beloved ramp.
Regardles of the "fall at your own risk" nature of skateboarding, the ramp is becoming a little too sketchy to ride. The last thing any of us want is someone hurting themselves on the ramp due to a fixable hole in the wood... or worse, the ramp being destroyed because of a lawsuit that follows :(

A few of us have patched and fixed what we can with the little money we have but we sure could use some community help :)

We really just need wood, screws, and a new surface.
The reason we have to keep patching holes is because we don't have a real outdoor grade Skatelite  surface. a single 4' x 8' sheet of this costs $199...
Used materials are an option too!

If you know anyone who can help out in any way, please pass this on!
