Help save the dog meat pups!

Donation protected

On April 26th, I, along with 10 volunteers went to Harbin, China to help rescue dogs with a rescue called Slaughterhouse Survivors. I’m raising funds again to transport six dog meat trade survivors from China to the USA at the end of September. Slaughterhouse Survivors, in Harbin, China, has helped rescue over 500 dogs in the last 22 months, most of which are from the dog meat trade. I, along with my other group members, will be bringing them to safety in the US & Canada.
As a dog lover, my heart breaks to hear about these dogs in China being tortured, dismembered, burned alive, and electrocuted for FOOD. It makes me sick to my stomach to think that this could be my dog . It could be ANY of our pets.

There are absolutely no animal cruelty laws in China. Animals can be horrifically abused with little to no consequence to the abuser. I'm partnering with a group of passionate volunteers to "clear the shelter" for a nonprofit rescue group in China who is working tirelessly to provide animals in China a safe, warm place and eventually find them homes.

These dogs have a much higher chance of finding families in the US/Canada than in China.
I have always wanted to make a difference in this world for the suffering animals. Can you help me get them home?

Your donation will help cover the following:
- Funds needed to fly 5 survivor pups to the US
- Export permits and necessary health inspections/quarantine for all 5 dogs
- Travel/airline expenses

FAQS:

Where are these dogs?
There are 900+ rescued dogs that are in need of a home. I will be able to bring up to 5 dogs on the plane & will have a better idea of which 5 I am able to bring back after the Chinese New Year holiday. Slaughterhouse Survivors is located in Harbin, China, and has been rescuing, nurturing back to health, and rehoming dogs for almost 3 years.

What's Their Story?
Every day, there are hundreds of meat trucks circling throughout China cities, transporting multiple dogs, very commonly stolen pets, in harsh conditions to their unimaginable fate. Luckily, there are activists and volunteers that step up to bat by intercepting these trucks and saving as many of the sick and injured as possible. Many of the animals needed intensive care for infections, amputations, cuts, broken bones, and/or other horrific conditions.

Where Will They Go in the USA?
Once funds are raised, I will personally travel to Harbin, China to pick up 6 rescued dogs and transport them into the United States. We have partnered with a Rescue in California, Jelly's Place,  that have agreed to take these dogs under their wing and provide them with their forever, loving homes.

Why Slaughterhouse Survivors?
A few of our teammates have adopted their dogs from Slaughterhouse Survivors (Zeus & Rosie), as well as from other Chinese & Korean dog meat rescues. The three girls that run the Slaughterhouse Survivors rescue are UK expats on a visa who teach English to kids and save dogs when they are not at work. Many of these dogs wouldn’t have a fighting chance without their team, and I would like to give back by volunteering, and assist with bringing these dogs to the US/Canada for their Happily Ever Afters.

What About the Dogs in the USA? They Need Homes, Too.
While this is true, there are animal rights laws in place here in the United States. There are thousands of wonderful animal rescues pulling dogs from kill shelters across the country with volunteers and donors working tirelessly to ensure the animals’ safety. We’ve worked with a number of animal rescues, fostering and finding homes for many dogs. Having been horrified by the merciless slaughters and animal cruelty in parts of Asia, we’re stepping up to do more. The most beautiful thing about bringing these pups to the US, is that they can help tell their story, and spread awareness!

What Happens With The Donations?
Your donation will help fund the safe transportation of 5 dogs from China into the United States. Exporting the animals from China is a complex process and the most cost-efficient way to move the animals requires flight volunteers to physically fly out of China with (depending on the airline), two to five dogs per flight. Your donation will cover the following costs: (cost breakdown sheet)

- Pet airline transportation fees and travel-related costs

- Required vaccines, health documentation, and export requirements for the dogs

- Airline expenses for myself as their flight volunteer to the USA (although much of this I will pay out of pocket)

In the rare event that we surpass the requested donation amount, all funds will be provided to Slaughterhouse Survivors to allow them to continue to care for the animals in their clinics.

If we do not make the required amount for transportation, the raised donations will be provided to Slaughterhouse Survivors.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and supporting getting these rescued pups to the US. Please consider sharing this to help me reach my goal.
