Stocked - a staple of the Prospect Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn - suffered a terrible fire on the morning of July 5, 2016. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but the damage is severe and Stocked will be closed indefinitely.
Stocked represents the best of Brooklyn's ever-shrinking small business community. Owners Lesley and Matt Fulton are residents of the neighborhood, and parents at the local public school (PS9). They have sought to create the best kind of community cafe: great food, at a fair price, where everyone is a regular. This kind of business already suffers under the constant pressure of a Brooklyn changing daily, and we owe it to ourselves as a community to do what we can to ensure they survive!
