Oscar's Fight with Leukemia

Donation protected
Oscar spent his 21st birthday violently ill from the side effects of chemotherapy.  His father asked him what he wanted for his big birthday.  Oscar said, "I want you to go to the store and buy flowers."
To that, his father replied, "you want flowers for your birthday?!?!"
"No!" Oscar laughed, "I want the flowers for mom.  I don't want anything for my birthday other than to tell you and mom how much I love you and appreciate you."

This is just one of many stories that exemplifies what an amazing young man Oscar is.  He is the most caring, selfless and likable person I have ever met.  Oscar and his family have been very close personal friends with my family for more than 10 years.  We have been on vacations together, we share significant family milestones and holidays with each other and we are always staying connected in some way.  In short, we are very close.

In 1998 I lost my father to leukemia and I saw firsthand how horrible blood cancer is and how frightening it is.  The treatment for leukemia is almost as terrible as the disease.  The chemotherapy has made Oscar very sick and it is very debilitating.  Oscar is a student at Metropolitan State University in Denver where he is studying to become a teacher.  His dream is to become a math teacher and help children.  He is also working on his minor in psychology.  He loves to play soccer and lacrosse and was about to start coaching little league when he got sick.
Oscar wants to dedicate his life to helping people.  In order to do that though he needs your help.  In his first month of treatment alone his hospital and doctor bills are already approaching $80,000.  Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is treatable but the treatment is extremely expensive.
Any donation you can make to help Oscar’s family pay for treatment will be greatly appreciated.  Your donation will literally help save a person’s life.  If you are unable to donate money please at least share the link to his donation page with your friends and ask them to do the same.  The more viral we can make his story the greater the chances for him to get the donations he needs to fight this horrific disease and have a full and happy life.
Thank you so much for you time, consideration and donations.  You are saving the life of a truly amazing guy!!

 THANK YOU!!!

Again, if you are unable to donate money please at least contribute by forwarding his donation page to your friends and family and ask them to do the same.
