My name is Hashem Jouda.
I’m writing with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for my family in Gaza.
My mother has cancer. She is now in Egypt, awaiting urgent chemotherapy.
My 10-year-old sister Susan lives with a rare disease and only one kidney — she’s in Gaza, with no access to medication or proper nutrition.
My father Sami, my brothers Qasem and Muhammad, and my sister Reem remain trapped in Gaza under siege. We fled northern Gaza when our home was destroyed by airstrikes. Now, they live in a tent with no food, no medicine, and no safety.
My brother mohammed , though displaced, continues to write stories to share our truth. But words cannot treat our mother. Stories won’t save Susan.
We are out of options.
Your donation will help us:
• Pay for my mother’s chemotherapy
• Provide Susan with life-saving medication and food
• Support my displaced family with clean water, hygiene, and shelter
• Cover emergency medical care and, if possible, evacuation
From my brother Qasem:
“Every contribution—no matter how small—helps us rebuild not just a home, but a sense of safety and hope.”
Please, help my mother live to see another day. Help us keep Susan alive.
This is not just aid. This is survival.
Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and for sharing our story.
