Reunite Karak and Her Children

Donation protected
Dear Friends,

Karak’s six children are in immediate danger and we need your help to save them and bring them to the United States.

Our dear friend Karak needs your help. Karak's dream was to help women in South Sudan and Uganda become independent. She worked hard towards this goal, starting the Women Who Grow Foundation. Because of her advocacy for women's rights in South Sudan, she was arrested and tortured. She continued to fight until her ex-husband and the military threatened her life and the life of her family. She was in the United States on a fundraising trip when the worst threats happened, so she stayed to apply for asylum and her children went into hiding.

Karak has been granted asylum in the U.S. and continues to be an advocate for women across the globe. It has been two years of waiting for her children's visas to come through. They are still in hiding. Threats from their father have escalated and the children are being moved to another secret location. Karak's lawyer is fighting hard for the process to be expedited. Meanwhile, we need help paying for the kids' living expenses, travel, and lawyer fees.

Will you assist Karak and her family so that her kids can remain safe and soon be reunited with their mother in the United States?

Thanks kindly,

Katie Jones, Laurie Jones, Heather Falenski, and Tamra Carlson
