Since it's start in 2018, Hashtag Pizza has been a beloved treasure in the city of Venice. Built and operated by Venice Locals, this business has always kept our community at the center of everything they do.
When hurricanes threaten our area, they are the first to make a plan to benefit those in need. The same is true when Covid-19 started to trickle in. Immediately, Jenn and Jess put together a plan to make sure that the children and families who were in immediate need were able to eat. Offering free and low-cost whole pizzas and free slices for students... they made sure to think with their hearts first instead of their bottom line.
Over the last year, the hits have come over and over. From expensive repairs, closings due to weather and family emergencies, they are now faced with the devastating choice to shut down.
If they are able to raise the money that they need to make the repairs necessary to the Hashtag Bus and the renovation necessary to move into their permanent location, then we can keep Hashtag right where it belongs.
From the owner:
"We love Venice. We live here, we work here, we are part of this community. Every chance we get we give back to all of you because that's what we love most about this business... seeing all of your smiles!"
What Will The Money Be Used For:
We understand that $20,000 seems like an exorbitant number, it will be used to repair the bus, install the gas lines at the new location, and purchase the equipment needed to operate on a wider scale.
