After tirelessly working to rebuild after the challenging Covid shutdown, and completing extensive renovations and repair work, the LAST skating rink in the Illawarra has been forced to close due to an unexpected cancellation of their lease.
District Skate is a huge asset to the Illawarra community and beyond. In addition to general skating activities, they also host school sport, disadvantaged youth programs, wheelchair and disability sessions, stroller skating for new parents, and learn to skate classes for all ages and abilities. District Skate has created a unique and inclusive safe place to skate - for everyone.
Please help preserve the beautiful skating community that calls this rink home, and save the jobs of District Skate's fourteen employees. Your donations will go towards relocation costs and fit out of the new space. Let's give back to a local business that gives so much.
