My name is Rebecca Reid, I am also known as "YEGfoodie". I am a friend of B's Diner and the lovely Brenda Der.
As I am sure you have all heard by now, Brenda has been forced to close the doors to the Old Strathcona location due to a steep rental increase that she just cannot afford. This has been devastating for her.
I have only been fortunate enough to have befriended Brenda a few months ago. What I have witnessed in this short amount of time is nothing less than phenomenal. This lady would give the clothes off of her own back to help someone out in need.
Brenda has put on 13 Christmas dinners to help the less fortunate. She puts on a community dinner about once a month and is always looking out for people that need that helping hand. She is friend to many, and a Mother of a community. Who else but a Mother takes care of people with such love and compassion?
Now it is time for us as a community, to give back to Brenda and B's Diner.
Let's band together and see if we can raise the money to help Brenda build back up to a new location and be stress free about this whole situation.

**Brenda would prefer to go to a mobile kitchen (Food Trailer) to be able to cater and continue to help the community. The amount of this campaign is enough to purchase and outfit the trailer as well as cover permitting and expenses.
