#SaveBeachVolleyball
Donation protected
The Tampa Bay Beach Bums & the WannaBes - two groups known for their commitment to keeping volleyball FUN and supporting/hosting beach volleyball events all throughout the country - have teamed up to help #savebeachvolleyball.
Example:
Goal would allow us to distribute 100 - $1,000 grants to beach volleyball small businesses* in need!
(or 50 - $2,000 grants depending on number of qualified businesses that register)
*these small businesses have been almost universally overlooked in most stimulus packages announced to date.
Prior to COVID-19, both groups were planning to be heavily involved in the Spring version of FUDS, which typically brings more that 2,000 volleyballers (over 400 teams!) to Fort Walton Beach for a week of great ball + great parties (originally scheduled for this week).
The cancellation of Spring FUDS, like so many other beach volleyball events, coupled with the realization that most beach volleyball businesses are not going to qualify for government relief programs … led to the idea to -on a small level- take matters into our own hands to give volleyball players & fans a chance to help #savebeachvolleyball.
Please help us show some love to the local beach volleyball programs that play such an huge role in our lives … so the programs can hopefully survive until beaches are able to fully reopen and groups are able resume training, etc.
You've got options!
1) Buy a limited-edition WannaBe a Beach Bum Again t-shirt
(pick your favorite beach organization so they get 50% of proceeds!)
2) Donate to gofundme here to help #savebeachvolleyball!
(funds will be distributed between ALL beach volleyball businesses
that sign up HERE , along w/ an additional % of t-shirt sales as well)
