Save the Street Food Dojo

Street Food Dojo, located in the heart of the downtown SF Fi-Di, in a little gem of a food stand right on Market Street. A project headed by Chef Lawrence Lee of HayaHon Catering, along with culinary partners Johnny Honda and Mark Hayashida, helped create this outlet of Asian inspired comfort food for the the downtown power lunch crowd.

Located in McKesson a plaza, formally Zogs Dogs, a cult favorite for all hot dog lovers alike, Lawrence decided this would a great location to sample his cuisine and new concept recipes. Over the past year the neighborhood has embraced SFD as a regular lunch time eatery enjoying items such as their "Hawaiian Roast Pork" "Crispy Chicken Katsu" "Pork Ramen" "Korean Shortribs" and of course "the SFDojo dog".

However over the past year, particularly the recent severe storms have taken a toll on this food stand. Originally built in the early 1920's, the powerful storms have truly tested the strength of this unique and rare stand alone structure. The extreme rain and wind have created leaks, and structural damage to the cooking equipment specifically designed for this space.

Chef Lawrence and the team of Street Food Dojo now look to all of you for help at extending our stay here in downtown SF by raising enough money to repair and replace damage caused by the storms, allowing us to continue creating our food.

In hopes to repair our beloved food stand, we also want to take this opportunity to grow our food business to the next level. Being a small business in this BIG city requires many outlets in order to be successful such as web presence, marketing, and of course social media. Any additional funds raised above repairing our kiosk will go to creating this side of the business, helping us stay relevant and grow as a food business.
