DESPERATE PLEA FROM MOTHER for your help in stopping the ongoing sexual abuse of her 4 year old daughter, "K".

Please, for just a moment, put yourself in this mother's shoes. For the first three years of K's life the bio father had not been involved. However, K and her mother did have a relationship with K's paternal grandfather, a pastor who works with youth.

Eventually, K's mom stopped allowing her to see her grandfather when K began showing signs of abuse. She became fearful, withdrawn, aggressive (killing frogs, attacking cat) and was having potty accidents. At this point in time K was exposed to her father as well.

Soon after K began therapy she began to disclose abuse. In graphic detail K described incidents of sexual abuse by both K's grandfather and father. The therapist reported the disclosures and DFCS began an investigation. During K's DFCS arranged interview she ran out of the room and wet her pants, they closed the case.

K has continued to make graphic disclosures over the last year and is making progress in therapy. Her therapist is one of her biggest advocates and has submitted documentation of the disclosures. A judge has made a final ruling granting legitimation and ordered visitation for K to see her father supervised by his father (the two men accused of molesting K). This is despite DFCS testimony and a licensed therapist telling the judge he was putting K in danger. He said he disbelieved what my daughter had said.

Mom's lawyer has requested getting her a guardian ad litem, the judge denied it. K has been regressing, showing signs of extreme PTSD, having hysterical tantrums, biting, crying, begging and pleading not to go "where they hurt her privates". Her mother is heartbroken having no choice but to send her to such torture.

K asks her mama why she does not love her anymore and continues to see a therapist multiple times a week. After one visit with K's father and paternal grandparents, K told her therapist that she wasn't allowed to talk to her anymore. K said that her mother would die and that her puppies would be killed if she did. K continues to show extreme sadness and anger towards her therapist and mother for not keeping her safe even after her disclosures. On another visit, K came back very sleepy and told her mother that she had been given "red medicine". They also had washed her underwear. K slept for 24 hours straight before going to the ER. She was found to have an UTI and blood in her urine.

K was seen by a very well respected psycho-sexual therapist paid for by DFCS. K made a full blown disclosure during her session. Her determination was that K has been molested since infancy. She recommended all efforts be made to cease the visits and to keep K involved with intensive therapy to help heal. She included in the reports that K will not heal until she is safe and has no contact with the abusers.

K's lawyer filed for an emergency modification hearing to stop the visits based on the report by the therapist hired by DFCS. The judge denied the request and refused to look at the report, but was interested in reviewing photos of K taken by K's father. In December 2013 DFCS closed K's case. They told K's mom there is nothing more they could do. Law enforcement was called by the therapist. She highly recommended they intervene to help protect K. They have not returned one single call from mom.

On January 16 there will be a hearing to determine if a new trial will be granted for the visitation and legitimation. The judge will not look at any evidence and will only hear from witnesses. The psycho-sexual forensic therapist's testimony alone is over $6,000. 

The clock is ticking;Just imagine finding yourself *financially* unable to protect your child from being sexually abused. If only you had enough money: Is this what our country is about? DFCS, law enforcement, the Governor of Georgia and the Department of Human Services all say they can't help. This judge has complete rule of the land and without costly testimony K will continue to be sexually abused.

This is truly a matter of life and death. This is our opportunity to prevent seeing K on our TVs one day, as a missing or murdered child.
