Gary and Kelly are in serious financial trouble and would sincerely appreciate any and all help to avoid losing their house.
Gary's been out of work since September 2016 and hasn't been able to find a full-time job with a livable wage. He hasn't qualified for unemployment and is continuing to file appeals, but no help there yet. He's been desparately looking for work since September and currently working 2 nights a week washing dishes and as a prep cook, as well as temp work when avaiable, usually around minimum wage.
He is starting a temp-to-hire job now and continuing to work 2 days a week as a prep cook and washing dishes, but that won't enable us to bring our bills current in time to save our house.
Kelly has had trouble finding work due to some chronic health issues and caring for her elderly mother, but was able to get a scholarship for an online program so she can work around those issues. When she completes the program at the end of the year she should be able to find full-time well-paying work that could accommodate those issues. Until that time she'll probably continue to only make $300-$400/mo.
We have exhausted all our resources and our income tax refunds. Thanks to food stamps, a couple of instances of getting financial help with utilities and budgeting very tightly, we've been able to eek by and pay everything but the last 2 house payments, with the next one rapidly approaching.
$4200 would cover 3 house payments and 2 late fees, as well as provide some gas money to get to and from work.
Any excess received would go to charity; for instance, Challenged Athletes Foundation (http://www.challengedathletes.org) or Shriners Hospital for Children (https://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/).
