Save Elwood: Urgent Surgery Needed
Donation protected
Surgery Update: Elwood is out of surgery, he is at home resting after almost 10 days in the ER/Vet. He has been told to get his rest, but he is eager to get out of his kennel and give us love and rub up onto us when given the chance. He has his cone of shame to protect from his licking. Overall: we are optimistic of his recovery. Meds throughout the day and night. We may be tired, but we want to thank you for your support.

Update: The veterinarian has told us that with the surgery Elwood would be a happy, healthy, and still a sweet boy. Thank you to those who have already taken the time to donate. We have a bit more to go, anything is appreciated. With the care from our vet the cost of the care needed went down, and we have new number to shoot for, $9,400. Our vet is amazing and has helped us and Elwood out tremendously over the course of the week.
Video is of Elwood and me while he was home for about 12 hours after his first visit to the ER earlier this week. We pick him up from the vet today where they have been monitoring him and keeping fluids going through his body. From the vet we will need to take him to a care center in order for them to keep fluids going through his body until he is able to have surgery on Monday. Thank you to those who have donated again, we cannot express how much it means to us now, and for your generosity at this time.

On the day my wife was let go from her job, our sweet boy and loving companion, Elwood (4yrs old), suffered a medical crisis and has been under veterinary care for 7 days. He is stable, but needs surgery immediately to survive. The surgery will completely eliminate the medical crisis and our sweet boy can live out the rest of his long life with our family. Total for the medical bills with the surgery is $9,400. Given that her former employer decided to lay off their entire unit without any notice, we were not prepared for this extreme financial hardship. Any amount you are willing to give will be very much appreciated. Thank you! Bless you!
