Save2020 - Help Brazil Communities

Dear friends…  Brazilian communities are getting hit extremely hard with this pandemic and it seems to be only the beginning. There is no way for us to just sit and wait for it to pass. Situation of extreme poverty, no basic sanitation, lack of food and essential supplies are the reality of 13 million people. With the closing of schools, mothers are finding themselves unable to feed their children who depend on school meals.  In several cities of Brazil, my friends and I are getting active to make sure the less fortunate can survive during this sanitary crisis. Not one but 4 different initiatives has emerged from us to buy, collect and distribute basic supplies in the communities.    We are helping 4 communities right now:  *   In São-Paulo:  São Remo Butantã and Morro do Macaco  *   In Rio: Manguinhos/Mandela  *   In Londrina: Jardins Maravilha/Franciscato/Novo Perobal  One basic basket (cesta básica) containing food items (such as rice, beans, oil, meat), hygiene products (such a toilet paper, sanitary pads, baby diapers and soap) and cleaning products can help a family of 5 live for a month and will cost around 400 Reais which equals to around 70 Euros.    Our goal is to reach 1000 baskets and to support approximately 5000 people.
