This is such a difficult time for everyone, and our thoughts are with you as we go about our day, navigating this dangerous moment in our history.
We have survived challenges in the past. We have survived economic downturns. We have survived closed bridges. We have survived tragic losses of family and friends. Yet, we have survived. With the help of friends and family, we worked through whatever difficult times came our way.
And we will survive this, but we are struggling. We need your help.
It's heartbreaking. The PPP ran out of funds. Large businesses with international listings swallowed the money before real American restaurants and other small businesses had the opportunity. Hopefully, the new Covid19 Bill working its way through Congress will add more funds. We are pursuing all revenue sources, and, unfortunately, the competition for the limited funding has turned into a blood sport. We will keep fighting.
YE OLDE STEAK HOUSE is the oldest restaurant left in Knoxville. It's family owned and operated. Since the government has used their funds on what is a very corporate restaurant...we're turning to friends and family. It's never easy asking for help...but it is our last chance. Please if you can.... anything can help. We employ over 60 friends and family. Most have worked there their entire lives. It would be a disaster for many.
