Help Wednesday Get the Care She Needs

My sweet cat Wednesday recently had to undergo facial surgery due to a severe infection. Unfortunately, she’s had multiple complications since then. At first, she started having trouble closing her mouth. The vet tried several medications that seemed to help for a while, but soon her condition worsened.

During a follow-up appointment, I was referred to a neurology specialist. After testing, the specialist diagnosed Wednesday with something called “drop jaw” — a condition where the nerves in the face become paralyzed, leaving her unable to close or move her jaw properly.

The specialist believes this may have been caused by bacteria spreading from her surgery, possibly reaching deeper into her system, even toward her brain. While there are other possibilities, they are less likely. To know for sure, Wednesday needs advanced scans and more testing to determine the exact cause and best treatment plan.

Right now, because I cannot afford those scans, Wednesday is on broad-spectrum antibiotics and steroids. While this may help, it’s not a guaranteed solution. Eating is extremely difficult for her, and she struggles to get enough nutrition without being able to move her jaw normally.

Wednesday is such a loving, resilient cat, and I want to give her every chance to heal and live a comfortable, happy life. I’m asking for help to cover the costs of her advanced tests and treatments so her doctors can provide the care she urgently needs.
