The time has come for us to humbly ask for your financial donations to help ensure Walnut Creek Foco  survives this Covid-19 Pandemic. 


ABOUT US
Walnut Creek  Foco  is a collaboration of some 50+ small local artisan businesses under one roof  in downtown Fort Collins, Colorado. Our role is to provide a brick and mortar location at affordable prices to help the start-up entrepreneurs, artists and collectors in our city pursue their dreams of owning their own business. We offer many services and support to help them accomplish those dreams and have been doing so for 7 years now.  *Please scroll below to learn more!

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Our artisan focused business has one downside, we do not have an online store. On March 22, 2020 because of the Covid-19 Stay at Home order we virtually lost all our income overnight. 
The fact that there are 50+ stores with hundreds of one of a kind products in each of them, makes a virtual store almost impossible. The cost to build out an ecommerce site, the necessary software and daily management of unique items are all financially unsustainable. 

There are plans in the works! Some may include our ability to help other locally owned established businesses in old town survive as well by including them in our location as vendors! Our amazing vendors that you know and love are hanging in there with us, and offering support, even while we have been closed.

We are doing everything we can to seek disaster relief and applying daily to possible funding support when we qualify. We operate as a shared collaboration, we have no employees and as owners we run the daily operations of our store  with countless hours of our own, and others, volunteer time and personal financial investment.

MORE ABOUT US
We are more than a retail collective!

Walnut Creek Foco   is also the home to more businesses than our retail vendors.

The Merchant Room 
Is a gallery and studio space upstairs. We have held over 70 First Friday Art Walk exhibitions in support of our community's fine artists. We also rent the Merchant Room space to the professional photography and film production community. It is an essential tool, as a location shoot studio.
Some Where Secret 
Is an epic escape room that is rated one of the best in the country and located on our second floor.

Community Outreach
*We provide space to local nonprofits and struggling single moms.
*Rocky Mountain High school arts program that supports what one teacher has accomplished in teaching disadvantaged teenagers real world skills. They learn to create and sell their own ideas for T-Shirts, vinyl cut and laser cut signs, refinishing furniture and painting techniques and home decor products.
*We have donated thousands of dollars to nonprofit fundraising events in town and regularly donate to local police, firefighter and homeless outreach services.


WHERE THE MONEY WILL GO
Your donations would go directly to basic operating costs that are piling up since the Stay Home order. This small amount we are asking to raise will keep us open so we can adjust our daily operations, implementing CDC Safety and Government recommendations for the second phase of this pandemic. It will keep Janelle and I, plus over 50 of your favorite  local businesses from losing what we all have fought so hard to create for our community and customers.

We are defining what opening to the public will look like in May and beyond. Making sure we think first of your safety and ours as we provide sales service to you in this new normal. We will be implementing a traffic flow pattern with safe distance shopping,  imposing mandatory face masks and gloves for our sales representatives , sanitizing regimes before and after each customer, providing hand sanitizer, closing restrooms to the public but retaining a hand washing station that will be open to our customers and sales representatives.

We are not giving up and we believe our loyal customers, friends and community don’t want a downtown without Walnut Creek  when we finally beat this together!
