Help Me Save My Home

“A Cry For Help…Save Vicky’s Home”

Trying to find a place to start is pretty difficult, but I have to start somewhere. The long-term effect of what a debilitating disease can do to a family and home can be extremely devastating. To give you a bit of an understanding of my current situation, I will briefly recap “Our Story.

Five months after we were married, my husband Tommy Cannatello was diagnosed with an incurable disease...Multiple Sclerosis. We didn’t know until a few years later that it was the most debilitating one there is...Progressive MS. As much as he fought it, Tommy went very quickly from falling, to a walker, to a wheelchair. From bladder infections to being catheterized, from bed sores to a feeding tube, oxygen and a tracheotomy, Multiple Sclerosis drained us in every area of our lives. In addition, we had to take loans out to make our home totally handicap accessible, purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle, as well as cover overwhelming medical expenses. Yet Tommy, me and our son, continued to fight the raging battle and made the best of each day.

It’s been five and a half years since Tommy left us and as a widow, they’ve been the most challenging years both emotionally and physically, as well as financially. After taking care of my husband for twenty-seven years, then suddenly being left alone with enormous financial responsibilities to fulfill (trying to juggle two mortgages and living expenses), the weight of this burden has become too heavy to bear.

I was recently served with foreclosure papers from my second mortgage. The sale date for my house is October 26th, unless I come up with a significant amount of (past due) money to reinstate the loan. I don’t have much time left. I’m sure most of you can understand that after 30 years of investing in our home, I don’t want to lose it.

This GoFundMe Page is my desperate Cry for Help! I will continue to fight to stay afloat and endure this hardship. It’s the way our Champion Tommy lived!

If you are able to help, I would deeply appreciate your kindness. May you be blessed in return for your heartfelt giving.

Thank you so very, very much,

Vicky Judy Free-Cannatello
