Save Vicki Weckerly's Home

This campaign has begun on behalf of Vickie Weckerly and her son, Cameron. Vickie, is a patient of ours and has become a dear friend to all of us in our practice. She is currently hospitalized with complications due to her stage IV cancer and her only son has been burdened with a huge financial debt, not only on their house but medical expenses and utility bills. The patient's husband passed of cancer a little over one year ago and left an enormous debt to Vickie and Cameron. There are liens on their home which is now owned by a collector. Because Vickie is in the hospital, Cameron has assumed the debt and if he is ONLY ONE DAY LATE on the mortgage, the home will go into foreclosure.  Both his car and  Vickie's  car are in the shop and the only means of transportation he has to and from work, is a rental car, however he has had to take many days off of work because he is his mom's only caregiver. 


Vickie is currently fighting for her life and worrying about her son's future and yet she is the brightest person you would have the pleasure of meeting. She is always a shining light in our practice, encouraging others, spreading love and positivity to EVERYONE. She is the kindest person with the most infectious laugh. Her laughter fills our office when she is here. Vickie often makes me examine how I am treating others because she shows those around her respect, kindness,  and caring.

Our hearts collectively break in our practice for her son and what he is facing. We have taken up multiple collections to help and turned to Pink Hands of Hope and Vickie's Angles for some financial assistance however we've exhausted the amount they will allow. We are praying to raise $2900 to help Cameron pay the mortgage for the next 3 months. We are determined not to allow their family home to go into foreclosure. 


I have to say that God led me through a series of incredible circumstances to the position I currently hold with an office full of God fearing women, an inspiring best friend, and a doctor who goes above and beyond any doctor I've ever met to provide for his patients and staff. We are a family here which is why we take what is happening very personally. We try to help every patient as much as we possibly can. Just a few moments ago, my office manager just personally paid two of her utility bills which were in arrears. 


I know people are inundated with campaigns to help, but I am looking at a prayer card on my computer at work that says "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" - Matthew 7:7 and so I am here asking, seeking...knocking. Please consider helping. Your generosity could change the life of a young man.
