Save Vernon's FOOT

**The foot update!

Vernon was able to shower and soak his foot to get all the dead out.

It looks horrible, seriously like a zombie horror movie. *if you wanna see a picture I will send you one separately*

It was confirmed to be caused by a lake water parasite. And maybe not catching it quickly enough.

Today the doctor said because you can see the tendon in his foot, when the infection has cleared they will need to do a skin graft.

For right now he has a PicLine and will be going through another 2-4 weeks of heavy antibiotics.

Physio is helping him try to get out of bed a little more .

Hey Everyone!

This GOFundMe is for one of the best most caring amazing people that you and I both know and love. That's my kid brother, Vernon. If you know Vernon you know how he is, and you know that he would give the shirt off his back without a second thought. So here I am asking for you all to help Vernon out and give to him, without a second thought.

The FOOT!

On Sunday the 25th of August Vernon was just arriving to his week Vacation at a cottage, where on the first day he fell off the dock helping his friend onto a water toy. It is unknown at this point whether his foot caught a propeller or a piece of metal from the boat bumper BUT his foot was BADLY and brutally injured with cuts to the bone in 2 of his toes and running up the top of his foot. Vernon was taken by ambulance to a close by hospital where he was stitched and sent on his way. Later that same week he returned by ambulance and was admitted with a horrible infection from a potential unknown parasite.

At this point my brother is currently in the hospital for the foreseeable weeks, consulting with wound care specialists as well as surgeons.

Right now we are unsure about the fate of his foot!!! Our finger are crossed that it will turn the corner and won't come to talks of removing the foot (which hasn't been ruled out)

This accident has put Vernon out of work for a minimum of 6-8 weeks, and I feel like that is BARE minimum but considering the condition of his foot right now, we predict longer.

Vernon has given so much to everyone around him, he always has. He is the best step dad and has a little BABY GIRL on the way!!, so you could imagine the worry this has caused about not only the fate of his foot but also the HUGE worry of financial strain during this time. This would be to help with lost wages and help him and his family cover bills so he can recover without worrying or rushing to walk (which may take months).

Vernon doesn't ask for much, so my family and myself are asking for him.

Please spare some and give generously to help him out!! It won't go unnoticed and I know he will be forever grateful looking back on all of you in HIS time of need.
