Bad things happen all over the world, sometimes right by us, or even to us.
Our Marine brother was in a bad car accident that resulted in the unfortunate death of a pedestrian. The police outline the situation in this news report.
This Marine was busting his butt at a second job, and something tragic happened.
Our thoughts and prayers certainly go out to the family of the young man that was killed.
While this Marine would never ask for money, the reality of the situation is that he wasn't working a second job just because he had time on his hands. This incident has incurred immediate unexpected costs. What was supposed to be Christmas money for the family has turned into no Christmas and then some. Unless we do something about it.
We are supporting him, and asking any that are currently in the position to do so as well, in an effort to assist directly with the following out of pocket expenses:
- The vehicle insurance deductible
- Rental car costs due to his vehicle being impounded in the investigation
- Legal fees
- Keeping Christmas as Merry as possible for him and his girls this season
