Save Tyrone Husky Rescue

Our rescue dogs really need you – Help the Huskies!
My name is Hayley and I run Tyrone Husky Rescue in Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland, I am desperately fundraising to save the rescue premises, save the Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes who currently call the rescue ‘Home’ and to be able to continue to save the dogs who will need rescued and rehomed in the future.
Tyrone Husky Rescue (THR) was set up in January 2017, to Rescue and Rehome vulnerable Northern Breeds (Husky, Malamute), these dogs come from abused, neglected backgrounds, are simply unwanted, in danger of being put to sleep or sadly just are in an unsuitable home. Since first open – THR has successfully rehomed 207 dogs and the rescue is still (sadly) in huge demand here in N.Ireland with every dog house being full and a waiting list of dogs to be surrendered.

Due to circumstances beyond THR’s control and through no fault of my own, we are sadly due to be evicted from the rescue’s rental premises, which I also live on, with my Son, to be able to look after and care for the dogs 24/7.
The owners of the property kept all rent money which I had paid them, and they have not made any mortgage payments for over 3 years! I was only made aware of the situation a short while ago when the bank formally repossessed the house, I got legal help and with it I have been fighting to stay here. Shockingly, I found out a few weeks ago that my solicitor had not been representing me as I thought, and eviction is now inevitable. Leaving the rescue and all the dogs in its care in such a vulnerable situation.
I have tried to find alternative premises but finding a site large enough to accommodate the rescue is not easy to come by and unfortunately nothing has been found.
If we cannot raise enough money to buy the rescue, I have been told by the enforcement officer that we will be forcefully evicted; but even worse, dog handlers will be brought in to remove all the rescue dogs to be taken away, to be held in holding pens, and if new homes cannot be found - they will be put to sleep! I cannot let this happen!
These dogs have been through so much already – the trauma and stress of being forcefully removed from where they feel safe and loved would be detrimental to their health. Everything is set up here for the dogs well-being (safe enclosures, exercise field, suitable fencing, cleaning facilities), there are dogs here that have been physically, emotionally and sickeningly sexually abused, sadly a few have had all 3 types of abuse endured on them.

This leaves THR with 3 options:
1) Raise £195,000 to save the rescue and secure its future.
2) Find new premises and money to move the rescue permanently.
3) Wait to be evicted by enforcement officers, police and dog handlers and allow the worst to happen.

The easy option would be to close the rescue and walk away, that is not an option! I owe it to every rescue dog that has come across these gates to fight for it. Fight with everything I have to keep the rescue open, to be able to keep taking in Northern Breeds so that none suffer and doing my utmost to care and rehabilitate them to find them wonderful new homes.

I’m so sorry it has come to this - that I ask you, the public, for help. I have set up this GoFundMe page to try to save the rescue, please any amount large or small would be greatly received. I know it is a big sum of money to save the rescue, the dogs are worth every penny and I just hope we can save them and continue to do so.
Woof and licks from THR dogs, and a big thank you from me.
