Save the Uyghur Widows and Orphans

All money raised will be hand delivered to Uyghur families in Turkey who have no other income source, therefore this appeal is zakat eligible.

My name is Khadijah and I’m fundraising to help the Uyghur refugees in Turkey.

 

There is currently an appalling violation of human rights taking place in the Xinjiang province of China, where over 1 million Uyghur Muslims have been detained in so-called political re-education camps which have been established to prevent our brothers and sisters from practicing Islam.

 

This group of Muslims are under attack with little to no support as the rest of the world looks on in silence.

 

I have personal contacts in Turkey who are working with a Turkish charity, El-Risale Foundation, to help the thousands of Uyghur Muslims who have managed to claim asylum in Turkey. For example, there are over 30,000 Uyghur Muslims living in just one area of Istanbul who have no access to public funds. Turkey has taken in so many Syrian refugees that they are unable to offer anything other than security and shelter to the Uyghur Muslims.

 

Before Ramadan, we were able to fund and distribute Iftar for 60 Uyghur families through this charity.

 

Please help the Uyghur Muslims by donating to this worthwhile cause which will go towards food and living costs for the Uyghur refugees. We ask that Allah forgives us, for to see and not act is the weakest of Iman. May Allah make us among the believers who take action in the face of injustice, and may he reward you all and increase your wealth. Ameen.
