<div>For the past 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of owning and operating the largest bookstore in Central Nebraska. Twenty years ago, I moved the store to its current home in Grand Island’s Railside district, where it has become an enduring landmark and a place where stories and friendships are made. My family, friends, and I have poured our hearts into this bookstore, volunteering our time to keep it running as a true community space. We’ve never focused on turning a profit—our goal has always been to keep the doors open and provide a welcoming place for everyone who loves books and connection.

<div>Now, I’m excited to begin a new chapter for the bookstore. I hope to renovate a portion of the store into a flexible venue space, allowing us to host private and public events. While this means giving up some of our sales floor, it’s a step toward ensuring the bookstore’s sustainability for years to come. This new space will help us generate additional revenue and, more importantly, continue and expand our tradition as a gathering place for the community.

<div>I’m reaching out to ask for your support in making this vision a reality. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us create a space where stories can be shared in new ways.

<div>To keep the project manageable and transparent; fundraising and renovations will be incremental to assure sustainablitlgy and proper stewardship of funds collected. Thank you for being part of our story and helping us keep the spirit of the bookstore alive for generations to come.
