Uncle Larry's is on a mission to bring the flavours of Jamaica to New Zealand with a catering service and restaurant that's been going since 2009. Watch this clip as there’s no one better than the man himself, Larry Clarke to share why Uncle Larry’s is so special!
When Larry started this business, he did it out of a place of passion, to fly the banner of pride for Jamaica and Jamaican cuisine and was intent on building a lasting legacy for his family in his new home country of New Zealand.
Tragically, Larry recently suffered a heart attack and had to undergo open heart surgery, which left him unable to continue growing the business. Larry now faces a difficult decision of having to close premises.

Hi, my name is Nicole Clarke.
I am Larry Clarke's daughter. My dad has always been there for me. We’ve been through so much together. You see, my dad lost his brother a few years ago. He flew to the UK for the funeral. We then found out my mum had cancer and she passed away within a month. My dad stayed with me and supported me during one of the hardest times in my life. I'm now on a mission to save my dad's dream of a lasting legacy. I would love to return the favour to my father by helping him in his hour of need.
I have 5 children of my own: Samuel , Matthew, the twins; Maddison and MacKenzie, and Najay, who has cystic fibrosis. I’m planning to move with my family from the UK to New Zealand to help my dad turn things around. I am determined and that's why I'm here today, reaching out for your help, to back this campaign and spread the word!
We need your backing to help keep Uncle Larry's alive in New Zealand and preserve the legacy my dad has worked so hard to create.
We have all of the production equipment in place and have restarted discussions with the grocers but we need funds to re-build the factory facility.
