Save The Take A Break Cafe!

Hi Guys! As alot of you know, we watched this Cafe for over 10 years waiting for our chance to open it as our own. Three & half yers ago our chance came, we had a yard sale & sold everything anyone would buy including the fishin' boat, the four wheeler.....all of it. When your dream is right in front of you, you dive in headfirst & hit the ground running, which is exactly what we did. However, this hasn't been an easy journey everytime we have made progress financially something has come by & kicked us in the gut. Most of the issues have been massive & continuing repairs to the equipment & the building itself. Over the years we have managed to rebound from each of these instances & come out......alright. Although, each time left us further behind in expenses by covering repair bills to remain open & putting off other bills hoping for enough time to catch those up. Well Friends, we have hit a brickwall, last month during Mother's Day week, when the plumbing in the dishpit had to be jackhammered up & all replaced (which the landlords did pay for the work to be done) it shut us down for a full week when all was said & done. For months prior to this we had been fighting to financially recover from all the previous repair costs, not to mention an exceptionally hard & slow winter. One of these bills was the reason we had to file Chapter 13 Bankruptcy which is voluntary & temporary but it forces the companies you owe a debt to, to accept reasonable payments & stops the massive interest fees etc. The only remaining bill we have not conquered yet is the biggest, it is with the Dept. of Revenue..... We were so close to having the funds ready for them after months of hardwork & determination.....but then we lost the full weeks revenue from the plumbing issue plus the cost of the plumbing diagnostics which we had to cover. All our cards are on the table, if we don't pay them the approximately $8000 owed, they will stop our Chapter 13 from closing & reinstate all the interest/fees etc.  associated with them, pull the business license & shut us down pemanently. We have until July 10th for our lawyer to still be able to appeal their motion to dismiss our Chapter 13 & shut us down but we need to pay this as soon as possible for him to have sometime to create the appeal & file it with the court.

We have worked so hard for this dream, 6 days a week at 70 hours a week & have been happy to do so.  We have an amazing crew of hardworking, generous & all around great people who are busting their butts alongside us to get through this too. Our customers have become like family, we share in their good times as well as their hard times as they have shared in ours. This is our last option, we have exhausted every other possibilty, we didn't want to ask for help but this hurdle is too high to jump on our own. Thanks for reading guys :)
