Effective 03/18/20 - As most of you are aware, the city of San Antonio has mandated all bars and restaurants to shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Silver Fox is complying with the orders and wants both its employees and customers to stay safe.
We’ll be shutting down for a minimum period of 30 days with effect from 3/18. If all goes well, we should be allowed to reopen on April 19th. We understand this is for the safety of our neighbors, family, and friends.
That being said, we still need to make sure that our staff members who made The Silver Fox so special are taken care of. As they isolate themselves, they lose out on the much needed financial support they once had due to their jobs. We want to be there to greet you when we finally do reopen.
Many of them depend heavily on tips for a considerable portion of their earnings. This is why we have set up this Go Fund Me campaign to support our staff and the bar in our time of need.
We are accepting donations that will be divided up equally amongst our staff. The donations will help provide our staff with the means to buy food, pay their utility bills, and cover unexpected medical expenses that may occur as a result of this pandemic and lockdown.
Some of our employees have not been able to take advantage of unemployment benefits because of the huge volume of calls and traffic on government websites, this slowdown is delaying aid and we’re not sure when help will arrive.
