Save The Salty Pirate Water Park of Emerald Isle

Five years ago, Paul Musco purchased the Salty Pirate Water Park on Emerald Isle. Already a respected and well liked businessman from the surrounding area, locals and vacationers were thrilled about Paul’s purchase. With a new name and a complete facelift of the park, including the remolding of the recreation room, bathrooms, decks, steps and slides, the future looked bright. New chairs, tables and umbrellas were also purchased. Locals and vacationers alike were thrilled about the new upgrades. The water park was ready once again to make new memories for generations to come.
Unfortunately, the water park experienced damages from Hurricane Florence in 2018 and a tornado in 2019. And due to COVID-19 and the state restrictions, the water park could not open at all this spring. To make matters worse, Paul’s second business, 34 North was only opened for 5 short months before the state announced that bars would be closed indefinitely. Paul, Shenna and their family were devastated. Two businesses completely shut down for months.
However, In true Paul Musco fashion, he decided to sell gift certificates to continue paying his employees for a short period of time at 34 North in hopes that the bar would soon reopen. To no avail, both businesses remain closed today due to the restrictions related to COVID-19.
The local community and vacationers benefit greatly from havingThe Salty Pirate and 34 North owned and operated by such a benevolent young man. Paul and his family have poured their heart and soul into serving this community and providing safe and healthy entertainment for all to enjoy. It would be terribly unfortunate to allow Paul and his family to struggle through this challenging time or potentially be forced to sell The Salty Pirate due to something he could not have prevented. All funds donated to The Salty Pirate will be used to help offset the Mortgage, insurance and maintenance expenses for 2020. Please give what you can so we can all enjoy a family favorite retreat once again in the coming Spring of 2021.
