SAVE OUR THEATRE!
The Riverside Theatre, Woodbridge has been a big part of my family’s lives for as long as I can remember and it is now in trouble!!
With no clear date in sight for allowing large gatherings indoors this wonderful independent theatre & cinema is in danger of disappearing. We can’t let that happen!
We have taken a dance routine called a ‘handclapping’ and, with the help of a lot of friends, have organised a giant version of it that has been taught, learned and filmed completely in isolation in people’s homes and gardens throughout the Lockdown! As well as giving creative people something fun and fulfilling to do with themselves we hope to have created something spectacular and positive amidst all the doom and gloom! And now, we would like to dedicate this project to THE RIVERSIDE THEATRE.
Everyone involved in this project has a link to theatre and the arts in some way, and for the majority, the Riverside in particular is a place extremely close to their hearts. We would like to raise awareness of the precarious situation the Theatre is in and to support them by raising as much money as we possibly can!
