Save the Miedemas from Homelessness

Donation protected

Dave and Shirley Miedema could lose their home, due to the crushing burden of medical debt, and time is running out. As it is, they barely keep up with the interminable barrage of medical bills.

However, when Shirley incurred financial costs, due to an extended trip to tend to urgent matters with her ill and elderly mother, the Miedemas found themselves two months behind on both their mortgage payments and condo assessments.

Now, in dire financial straits, Dave and Shirley are preparing for the worst.

Shirley, Dave, and their niece celebrate her graduation.

Dave, who is 60 years old, has had two kidney transplants, the installation of a pacemaker, gout, and the BK blood virus, among other maladies.

Shirley, who is a couple years his junior, has fibromyalgia, and had a knee replacement two years ago, which limits her mobility.

Both receive meager disability checks, and both are counting on your support.

The Miedemas and their extended family attend the zoo.

As someone who has known the Miedemas for ten years, I can vouch for their honesty and integrity. They are a loving, Christian couple, who have been married for 25 years, and who attend church regularly.

Dave gesticulates for freedom of speech at a Chicago overpass.

Dave is a devoted husband and long-time conservative, who has attended Overpasses For America rallies, and has supported conservative causes for as long as he can remember. His twin passions are politics and sports, and has worked stints as a baseball writer and sports authenticator, and, before he became disabled, served as a Claims Examiner for the Railroad Retirement Board.

Shirley, Dave, and extended family.

Shirley is a devoted wife, has worked in the childcare profession, and has a passion for children.  She enjoys completing crossword puzzles, spending time with the couple's dog, and watching her favorite television programs.

Both Dave and Shirley would appreciate your financial support, through their dire circumstances.

The Miedemas have expenses, which include $550 worth of back mortgage payments, a total of $500 in condo assessments, $300 worth of phone and internet charges, and an additional $1,650+ in medical bills.

Anything you are able to give will help the Miedemas get back on their feet again.
