Hi, my name is Jason, and I’m an alcoholic.

Over the past three years I’ve overcame homelessness and addiction, maintained sobriety and worked tirelessly to rebuild my life, and bring my daughter home from foster care.

My daughter is at the center of everything I do. Every week, I made two seven-hour round trips on public transit just to bring her home for our weekends together. She loved our train rides—they were our special little adventure.

But recently, I slipped. After three years of sobriety, I drank for six days. It was enough to put me in the hospital and make me miss visits with my daughter, which kills me inside. Now, I’m doing the right thing and checking into long-term treatment.

The problem? I could lose everything I’ve worked for. I need help covering storage and moving costs so I have something to return to when I complete treatment. I’m aiming for up to 10 months of storage to give myself time to get through rehab, sober living, find a new job, and rebuild stability.
