Help Protect Gunung Leuser National Park — Support the Hutan Trek Conservation Patrols
Gunung Leuser National Park is one of the last places on Earth where critically endangered Sumatran orangutans, tigers, rhinos, and elephants still survive in the wild. But every day, these species face real threats from poaching, illegal logging, and encroachment along the park’s borders.
The Hutan Trek Conservation Team, working side‑by‑side with Gunung Leuser National Park authorities, conducts vital patrols along these border zones — tracking poachers, removing snares, reporting illegal activity, and protecting wildlife before it’s too late.
These patrols save lives.
But they are only possible with your support.
Why We’re Fundraising
Border patrols require:
• Transport into remote areas
• Fuel and maintenance for motorbikes and patrol vehicles
• Field gear — boots, radios, rain protection, torches, GPS units
• Food and supplies for multi‑day operations
• Safety equipment for rangers and community members
Every dollar directly funds boots on the ground.
Your Donation Has Real Impact
• Helps prevent poaching
• Supports local conservation jobs
• Protects critical rainforest habitat
• Keeps endangered wildlife safe
• Strengthens collaboration with national park authorities
Whether you give a little or a lot, you become part of the frontline team defending one of the world’s most important ecosystems.
Together, We Can Protect Gunung Leuser
The rainforest can’t speak for itself — but we can speak for it.
Please donate and share this campaign to help keep patrols running and keep wildlife safe.
Thank you for standing with us.
