Save the Home of Jack Blanchard and Misty Morgan
Jack Blanchard and Misty Morgan left an immeasurable fingerprint on the history of country music and the jukeboxes of America. A lifetime of touring and songwriting has its fair share of ups and downs, and since the untimely passing of Misty in January, it has been more downs than ups for Jack. We are reaching out today in hopes of, well, I'll let Jack take it from here...
"After years of hard times, including being homeless, Misty Morgan and I had a long career as recording artists and songwriters. Being musicians, we were together 24 hours a day. It ended suddenly.
On New Year's Day, 2021, I was sitting beside Misty's hospital bed, watching her sleep when she died. That was the moment the world changed. Nobody had expected her to die, not even the doctors.
Sixty years of love, music, and partnership up in smoke. My health failed fast, with a bad heart valve, shock, depression, weakness, anemia, inability to walk without a cane, and very slowly and painfully even with the cane. There were new medications where there were none before. Recently I have lost most of the vision in my right eye, so I can't drive, and rely on friends to take me to doctor appointments, etc.
Not being able to walk around stores, everything has to be delivered to me, which is expensive. Misty's Social Security no longer comes. My hope is to live here in our home for just another year, and so I'm asking you for help with this Go-fund-me.
