The Bayou Animal Services shelter has been taking in animals since the beginning of the disaster for people who could not take their animals with them while being rescued from the devastating flooding in Dickinson . The shelter is holding them free of charge until their owners can get back to them, which could be weeks! They are running low on food and supplies, as they are well over capacity, and are still accepting animals. My name is Walter Wilson, I live in Dickinson, and I had to be rescued from the flood waters with my 2 Dogs, and they are now temporarily residents of the shelter.
