In memory of sweet Snickers (dachshund)

Update:Sadly I lost Snickers in the beginning of October but the bills I racked up trying to save him were over $3000. I know that was crazy but I just lost my dad and I had to try all I could. He was the last living companion I had at home and I miss him dearly. Any help to pay these bills would be greatly appreciated. I wouldn’t ask if i didn’t have to and once i’m on my feet I hope to pay it forward. Well maybe get a puppy first once I can and then pay it forward If by some miracle money started pouring into this gofund me and i ended up with a surplus i would donate the rest to a charity. Maybe a dachshund charity (Dachshund World Charities) I found online and set up as my amazon smile charity. Either way one day I hope to make a donation, so when I can, anything i earn here for the bills i will one day hopefully donate back when i can afford to! Original message: Hi my name is Robyn. Right at the start of the lockdown in March I lost my dad suddenly to a stroke (and my Mom 5 yrs ago to Colon cancer). Snickers was everything to my parents and me.  He is all I have left and so even though he is 15 I spent whatever I could to save him when he got really sick a couple weeks ago. It didn’t seem like his time yet! Not for just some strange illness, especially after he just had a yearly checkup and got a clean bill of health a week before he was sick!At first he just wasn’t eating (not even his favorite people food) but then he had other issues  like barking in pain and he stopped walking because he was so miserable. It took forever to figure out what was wrong. Countless trips to the vet (including an ultrasound)and animal er  in the niddle of the night and a hospital stay to start getting him on the mend.  Turns out it was an out of control uti and kidney infection, also an ulcer in his stomach. He is a male dachshund and didn’t have any typical symptoms of it. The bills are just way too high from all his visits and any future follow ups from this. This isn’t over yet but he is doing better!  He has at least one more vet visit for this. Really I need more money because he also needs a test for cushing disease and dental surgery but I didn’t want to ask for too much.  I already asked for so much. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! I look forward to one day being able to pay it forward. XOXOX
