Since 1985 Sunshine Activity Center has provided high quality programming for hundreds of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through daily activities that help introduce and develop important life skills.
Here at Sunshine, we firmly believe that our program is the key to happiness for all who participate. We give clients a safe place to come together, stay active, take part in creative activities, eat a healthy meal, and be a part of a welcoming community.
Since our inception, we have received state funding to provide our critical programming. We are saddened to say that, due to state regulation changes, we are no longer receiving these funds. Our program is now in jeopardy of closing as our clients cannot afford the nearly 100 percent increase in costs.
We, alongside the community, are fighting hard to keep Sunshine’s doors open! Now, more than ever, we need to reach out to you for help so that our program can continue to thrive and enrich the lives of our clients.
