Save steves business

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my story. My name is dave and I and raising money anonymously for a friend of mine, I have known him a little over a year and in that time he has presented himself to be such a kind and caring person who will do anything for anyone. For a fair few years now he has been running a small nursery business from a small plot of land he has in Cheshire, due to COVID-19 the selling of the plants have dropped and obviously his income has gone with it, he tries his best and also delivers to old people from his van, he leaves the plants on the door steps and leaves taking payment at a later date, he does this so they have something to do during lockdown to keep them busy. Unfortunately the van that he uses for work has severely past its life expectancy, its leaking oil from from a few seals, the gear box is on the way out and the floor in the back started to rot through last year and the body work has rotted through to the under body. In general the van is very close to dying and if it does I dont think he will survive in business due to the cost of these Van's. Now I know it dont sound that bad but my mate has got a bad case of arthritis, he can only just about walk and sometimes not at all, and even though he suffers on a daily basis with this horrible condition he still gets up to work and provides for his wife and son. He works harder than alot of perfectly able people I have met and he is a inspiration to us all. I just hope that people agree with me that sometimes good people need help and that instead of giving to people they should also receive as a recognition of what they do for people and in light of this I want to raise £40k to buy him a new van, this will help him keep going to years to come and with the money left over from buying the new van he can use it to help the business stay afloat in this terrible climate and hopefully he can carry on doing what he loves.
