Save Spike: Urgent Surgery Needed

Donation protected
About a month ago, Spike began urinating outside of his litterbox for the first time. When it became an everyday thing I took him into Maxwell clinic where he was given a probable diagnosis of cystitis. A condition that causes the urethra to basically become clogged, leaving him unable to go to the bathroom without pain. For a few weeks we treated his cystitis with the prescribed gabapentin. That did not help the condition pass. He was starting to do a little better but the peeing outside the litterbox started up again. A few days ago I woke up to Spike puking up his breakfast, and leaking urine. I took him to Veterinary Emergency Group where his bladder was drained and I was informed immediate surgery to stop the blockage needs to be done. I’m starting this Gofundme to raise the $1,200 for the surgery to keep him from passing away. This will afford the procedure at the CSU spur campus veterinary hospital where they offer surgeries at a discounted rate. A wellbeing update will be posted along with the receipt for surgery.
